GENERATION LOCKDOWN
Generation Lockdown is a narrative short film about two friends in an active shooter lockdown in middle school. It is told from the point of view of an 11 year old boy who also stars in the film. The film won numerous film festivals in the 2020-2021 film festival circuit and is now available for free on YouTube to serve as a teaching tool and to raise awareness of the psychological effects that gun violence is having on our children, schools and communities. It received several awards including Best Director at the Cannes International Independent Film Festival, Best of Festival Katra Film Series, Best of Festival Rock The Shorts, Best Dramatic Short NorthEast Film Festival, among others.
This film is a CALL TO ACTION to get parents, lawmakers, schools and community leaders to work together to pledge to protect our children from inexplicable violence and commit to prevent future mass shootings in schools. For more information or to request a screening please contact me.
